About Women TechEU

Women TechEU is a two-year project designed to support 160 talented women entrepreneurs from the European Union and Horizon Europe associated countries. The programme offers a €75,000 grant (non-diluting finance) alongside a personalised six-month programme of services and a mentorship. This initiative aims to pave the way for women innovators to become leaders in deep tech innovation across Europe.

Groditech develops and commercializes precision technology for greenhouses to combat agricultural diseases and pests. Their core activity is the creation of an autonomous atomizer robot with pest and disease detection. This 360º technology automates for the first time the health and quality control, providing efficient and precise preventive treatment, reducing input costs, and operating autonomously day and night, enhancing profitability, efficiency, and sustainability.

At Smobya they are upcycling food industry waste products into BNC. Their solution addresses 4 issues associated with the textile & leather industry: GHG emissions, land use, plastic / microplastic pollution & animal welfare. Smobya biofabricates leather thus eliminating the need for livestock & promoting circularity. Their high-quality plastic-free non-woven materials have remarkable mechanical & aesthetic properties. They are suitable for luxury fashion brands, automobile manufacturers & interior design companies.

SensiVR Health is a digital health solution using XR, AI, and biofeedback to remotely monitor and personalize treatments for children with motor disorders like DCD. It improves access to care in rural areas, reduces costs, and supports pediatric hospitals in adopting a hybrid reimbursement model, making healthcare more affordable and accessible.

See2cure offers a fluorescent tumour-targeting tracer for fluorescence-guided surgery, helping surgeons detect tumour foci missed by conventional methods. This aids in ensuring complete tumour removal, improving the prognosis for patients with advanced abdominal cancers and reducing the risk of relapse.

Who Can Apply?

Women TechEU targets early-stage deep tech start-ups founded, or co-founded, by women holding a top management position (CEO, CTO, or equivalent). Eligible applicants must:

  • Be an early-stage deep tech start-up
  • Startup has to be established in one of the EU member states or associated Horizon countries
  • Have raised less than €1 million in equity
  • Not be at the Minimum Viable Product phase (TRL 3-6)
  • Have at least 25% of shares held by women
  • Be founded or co-founded by women who hold a CEO, CTO, CSO, or equivalent position.

How to apply?

Applications must be submitted through the official online submission platform. Applicants should prepare their submissions offline using the provided editable template before entering the information into the online form.

  • 2nd InfoDay Session: Wednesday, 05/03/2025 at 16:00h CET (Brussels time)
  • Submission Deadline: 17/03/2025, 17:00 CET
  • Acceleration Program: 01/07/2025 – 01/01/2026

Proposal Requirements 

Applicants must submit:

  • Completed online application form
  • CV of the lead applicant as well as the rest of the team
  •  Investors Pitch Deck (in PDF format)
  • Three-minute video pitch (uploaded to YouTube, Canva, or Zoom recording)

Evaluation and Selection Process 

The evaluation process includes:

  1. Eligibility check
  2. Remote evaluation by external experts
  3. Ethics evaluation
  4. Final selection based on evaluation scores and available funding
  5. Legal validation (only for pre-selected applicants)

Selected startups will receive:

  • Personalised mentorship from experienced women mentors
  •  Investor outreach and pitch preparation support
  •  Soft skills training
  • Sales strategy execution guidance
