The YouRban Open Call for Artists, Citizens, and Designers in Milan invites innovative project proposals that focus on the recycling and upcycling of reinforced polymers to enhance urban environments. This initiative is part of a broader effort to foster sustainable and inclusive urban ecosystems in collaboration with artists, designers, and local communities. Type of projects to be funded: Projects should focus on creating urban objects or installations that enhance public spaces, encourage social interaction, and promote sustainability through innovative design practices.

Sectors / domain: Urban design and public art, with an emphasis on sustainability and community engagement.

Individual or consortium: Both individual applicants and small consortia of up to two legal entities from EU countries can apply.

Specific eligibility requirements: Open to natural persons, professionals, and companies from any EU country. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to produce innovative designs and have experience in sustainable practices.

Specific topics or challenges: Projects should address urban challenges such as sustainable mobility, the activation of underused spaces, and climate change adaptation.

Projects duration: Each sub-project is expected to last 8 months.

Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
Funding rate: 100%
Budget conditions / limitations: Maximum eligible budget is €17,500 per project.
Payments: 25% pre-financing upon selection, 40% upon interim results validation, and the remaining balance upon project completion.

Key dates: The submission process opens on 30 May 2025 and closes on 30 July 2025 at 17:00 Brussels Time.
