The WE-RISE Open Call 2 is an initiative aimed at empowering underrepresented female entrepreneurs in the GreenTech, AgriTech, and ClimateTech sectors. This programme is designed to enhance the market presence of promising women-led startups, particularly from emerging European countries, through strategic funding and tailored support.
TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: The open call seeks to fund women-led tech startups focused on GreenTech, AgriTech, and ClimateTech sectors, offering grants to enhance their strategic action plans and facilitate growth.
SECTORS / DOMAIN: GreenTech, AgriTech, and ClimateTech.
INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: The call is intended for individual startups rather than consortiums.
SPECIFIC ELEGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be women-led startups legally established in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. There is a preference for startups from moderate and emerging innovator countries. At least 60% of the selected startups must be established in emerging/moderate innovator countries.
SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: The call focuses on addressing technological and market challenges within the specified sectors.
PROJECTS DURATION: The programme will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1 (3 months) for strategy cultivation and Phase 2 (4 months) for acceleration.
BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: Unclear
Budget conditions / limitations: Phase 1 offers a €5,000 grant per startup, while Phase 2 provides a €50,000 grant
Payments: In Phase 1, the full amount is paid upon signature of the sub-grant agreement. In Phase 2, 50% is paid upon agreement signature and 40% following a positive mid-term evaluation.
