RIZA - Call for Proposals Cycle 2
Funding supports grassroots NGOs to implement projects promoting fundamental rights, equality, and democratic participation of migrant and refugee women across EU Member States.
This call under the RIZA programme provides financial support to grassroots civil society organisations working with migrant, refugee, and diaspora women. It aims to strengthen their capacity to promote EU values and fundamental rights through targeted activities and advocacy. The call is part of a multi-cycle initiative, with Cycle 2 focusing on the Southern-Mediterranean region while remaining open to all EU Member States.
TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: Projects supporting capacity building, advocacy, and community engagement for migrant, refugee, and diaspora women, including rights awareness, access to justice, prevention of violence, civic participation, research, campaigns, and community dialogue initiatives.
SECTORS / DOMAIN: Human rights, gender equality, migrant and refugee support, democracy, civic engagement, and social inclusion.
INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: Applications may be submitted by a single organisation or by a consortium of up to three organisations.
SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be non-profit, non-governmental organisations (falling under any of the 4 established tiers) established in an EU Member State, with at least one year of activity, an annual budget below €300,000, and a demonstrated focus on migrant, refugee, or diaspora women. Additional governance and gender representation criteria apply. This RIZA call prioritizes proposals from the Southern-Mediterranean region.
SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: Projects must address at least one of three thematic priorities: support and capacity building, advocacy for fundamental rights, or promotion of democratic participation and community cohesion of migrant women.

BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: 100% lump-sum
Budget conditions / limitations: Grants range from €17,778 to €60,000 depending on type of grant (micro, small, medium), with a maximum cumulative funding of €60,000 per organisation.
Payments: 90% paid after grant agreement signature and 10% after project completion and reporting.
