RENEW-BOOSTER Open Call 1 Strand B (Open Call)
The RENEW-BOOSTER open call funds SME projects for innovation in renewable energy supply chains, focusing on product innovation and supply chain diversification.
TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: The call supports projects that develop innovations contributing to resilient and diversified clean energy supply chains, focusing on product innovation and supply chain diversification. These projects should lead to tangible results in a short-term.
SECTORS / DOMAIN: Photovoltaics, offshore wind, and energy grids.
INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: Both individual SMEs and consortia are eligible, with each SME in a consortium eligible for a maximum of EUR 60,000 funding.
SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be SMEs as per EU definition, established in eligible countries, and comply with EU fundamental values.
SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: Projects should be clearly linked to the objectives of the call, some of the eligible innovations are: new or improved products/services enabling substitution of critical materials, new suppliers and diversified supply chains, process innovations improving manufacturing, digital solutions related to supply chain and technologies reducing environmental impacts.
PROJECTS DURATION: Projects must have a duration between 3 and 6 months.
BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: 30%, 40% or 60% of the project, depeding on its maturity level.
Budget conditions / limitations: Grant amounts up to €10k, €30k, and €60k depending on the maturity level, the co-funding requirements are of the 70%, 60% and 50% respectively. The funding options can be combined sequentially from prototyping to deploying.
Payments: 50% of total grant as pre-financing and 50% upon validation of the last milestone/deliverable.
