Seeks to explore and demonstrate participatory art–science practices that engage communities in reimagining and advancing a sustainable, resilient and equitable blue economy through creative experimentation and citizen participation across water-dependent contexts.

The PartArt4OW Third Open Call seeks innovative projects that engage communities in rethinking and reshaping a sustainable, resilient, and equitable blue economy.

TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: The call funds participatory art initiatives (PAIs) that combine scientific research, artistic experimentation, and active citizen participation to explore the interactions between societies and water-dependent economies.

SECTORS / DOMAIN: The focus is on the blue economy, which encompasses activities related to oceans, seas, rivers, lakes, and other water systems.

INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: Both individual entities and consortia can apply. However, consortia must have a lead entity established in an EU Member State or an Associated Country.

SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Projects must be implemented in EU Member States or Associated Countries. Entities previously funded by the first or second open call are not eligible. Projects must not duplicate activities funded by other sources.

SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: The call specifically addresses the challenge of creating a sustainable and equitable blue economy, focusing on cultural imagination, knowledge pathways, and community participation.

PROJECTS DURATION: Projects are expected to last 6 months.

BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: 100%
Budget conditions / limitations: Projects can receive up to €50,000.
Payments: Funds are disbursed in two stages, with 50% at the start and 50% at the end of the project period.

KEY DATES: The call opens on 8 January 2026 and closes on 10 March 2026.
