JARVIS Open Call 1

Support the development and implementation of innovative Human-Robot Interaction solutions by funding and mentoring SMEs and Start-ups to extend the JARVIS project's impact across various industry sectors.

The JARVIS Open Call 1 seeks to fund innovative external pilot projects that leverage the JARVIS framework's components to develop and implement Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) solutions. This call is aimed at boosting the adoption and commercialisation of industrial HRI solutions across various sectors, while extending JARVIS's impact and outreach.

TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: The call will fund projects that incorporate JARVIS tools to demonstrate the replicability and sustainability of the JARVIS framework through innovative solution development.

SECTORS / DOMAIN: The selected projects will focus on sectors such as aeronautics, automotive, and energy, specifically nuclear plant decommissioning and offshore energy production.

INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: The call funds small consortia of 2 to 3 entities, including a mandatory SME/Startup as the pilot leader, and an industry end-user as the technology adopter. An optional research organisation can be included.

SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Projects must include entities from EU Member States or Horizon Europe associated countries. SMEs must meet specific financial criteria, and all participants must adhere to ethical and legal standards.

SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: Projects should address predefined topics related to Human-Robot Interaction or propose novel topics aligning with JARVIS objectives.

PROJECTS DURATION: Each project is expected to last for 10 months, divided into three phases.

BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: Not specified as a percentage, but the total budget for each project is up to €130,000.
Budget conditions / limitations: Maximum funding per project is €130,000.
Payments: Payments are made in three instalments (30% + 40% + 30%).

KEY DATES: The submission period is from 5th March 2025 to 5th May 2025.
