Green Grid - PowerBoost

GreenGrid PowerBoost Open Call provides €2,000 lump-sum support to SMEs for conducting an innovation audit addressing energy-related challenges linked to grid flexibility, digitalisation, renewable integration, and sustainability.

Type of projects to be funded: Implementation of an innovation audit aimed at identifying energy-related challenges and opportunities linked to grid flexibility, digitalisation, renewable integration, resource management, and sustainability. The audit must result in a Challenge Description Report prepared using the official GreenGrid template and signed with a qualified electronic signature. General training, unrelated consultancy, or technology implementation activities are not eligible.

Sectors / domain: Industrial sectors relevant to the green transition, particularly those connected to energy systems, grid flexibility, renewable integration, digitalisation, and sustainability.

Individual or consortium: Individual SMEs only. Consortium applications are not specified in the call guidelines.

Specific eligibility requirements: Applicants must qualify as SMEs under the European Commission definition, be established in EU Member States or countries associated with the Single Market Programme, be legally registered for at least one year with at least one closed financial year, operate in sectors relevant to the green transition, and have no conflict of interest with the GreenGrid consortium. A minimum co-financing of 20% from private financial sources is required.

Specific topics or challenges: Identification of innovation needs and challenges related to grid flexibility, renewable integration, digitalisation, sustainability, and resource optimisation within the applicant organisation.

Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
Funding rate: Lump-sum reimbursement of EUR 2,000 per beneficiary, subject to a minimum 20% private co-financing requirement.
Budget conditions / limitations: Funding allocated to 50 SMEs on a first-come, first-served basis per cut-off date, subject to a minimum evaluation threshold of 12/15 points and budget availability.
Payments: Single reimbursement payment made after submission and approval of the final Challenge Description Report and required supporting documents.
