FORTIS - OC#2.2 Exploiting the FORTIS solution in other key sectors

Funding for consortia to transfer and validate the FORTIS human-robot interaction solution in new civilian sectors and application environments.

TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: Technology transfer and cross-sector validation projects that exploit the FORTIS solution in new, non-core civilian human-robot interaction domains. Projects must demonstrate the adoption of the FORTIS solution in a new sector and advance from TRL 4–5 to TRL 7.

SECTORS / DOMAIN: Open to non-core civilian human-robot interaction sectors, with examples including agriculture, healthcare, events and retail.

INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: Consortium applications are required. Each consortium must consist of two eligible entities, including at least one SME. Single-country consortia are allowed.

SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Eligible entities may include universities/RTOs, mid-caps, SMEs, startups and end-users. At least one consortium member must be an SME. Projects must enter at TRL 4–5 and aim to achieve TRL 7 by project completion.

SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: Open topic for technology transfer and cross-sector validation of the FORTIS solution in non-core civilian human-robot interaction domains, such as agriculture, healthcare, events and retail.

PROJECTS DURATION: 10 months, splitted into 3 sprints (3 + 3 + 4 months).

BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: 100% for non-profit entities such as universities/RTOs and 70% for SMEs and other for-profit entities.
Budget conditions / limitations: Topic OC#2.2 has a total budget of €1,077,373.46 and is expected to support at least six projects, with an indicative contribution of up to €170,000 per project. A cumulative ceiling of €200,000 per individual legal entity applies across all FORTIS Open Calls, and the budget allocated to non-industry partners may not exceed 30% of the total project budget.
Payments: Intalments are released after succesful completion of each sprint (30% +30% + 40%).
