ENVELOPE 1st Open Call
Facilitates beyond 5G trials to validate and extend the ENVELOPE platform's experimental infrastructure, fostering innovation and sustainability through collaboration with SMEs, universities, and research institutes.
ENVELOPE 1st Open Call invites proposals for innovative projects aimed at demonstrating and enhancing the ENVELOPE platform's functionalities. This initiative is funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme and seeks to engage SMEs, universities, and research institutes in conducting trials related to beyond 5G technologies.
Type of projects to be funded: The scope of ENVELOPE Open Call is to test the capabilities, functionality, and performance of the ENVELOPE Experimental Facility in domains that complement the domains of the internal Use Cases in order to assure its broad suitability and economic viability. OC Beneficiaries will have to either utilise APIs or Enablers developed by the ENVELOPE Consortium or propose new Enablers/APIs to extend the platform's functionality.
Sectors / domain: The focus is on vertical services around vehicles, particularly those supported by 5G-Advanced and Beyond 5G.
Individual or consortium: Proposals must come from consortiums consisting of up to five legal entities, with at least 50% being SMEs.
Specific eligibility requirements: Eligible entities must be based in EU Member States, its Overseas Countries and Territories, or Horizon Europe associated countries. Hungarian entities are ineligible.
Specific topics or challenges: The call targets projects that demonstrate the platform's reusability or extend its infrastructure for experimentation.
Projects duration: Subprojects are expected to run for a duration of 6 months.
Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
Funding rate: 100% of declared costs
Budget conditions / limitations: Each consortium can receive up to €300,000, with individual members receiving up to €60,000
Payments: Disbursed in three parts: 15% at the end of the first month, 70% upon completion of activities, and 15% after final acceptance
Key dates: The deadline for proposal submission is 31 July 2025.
