EIT Manufacturing: Accelerate

Funding opportunity for European start-ups and scale-ups with innovative manufacturing solutions to accelerate growth and market expansion.

EIT Manufacturing Accelerate is an open call designed to support and scale startups and scale-ups in the European manufacturing sector. The program provides financing and tailored support to companies with innovative solutions addressing critical challenges in digitalization, automation, net-zero industry, renewable energy, and circular economy. The goal is to help these startups enhance product development, market capabilities, and contribute to a more efficient, resilient, green, and competitive European manufacturing ecosystem. Type of projects to be funded: The call supports start-ups and scale-ups developing innovative manufacturing solutions at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 or higher. The projects should focus on product development, market entry, and scaling operations.

Sectors / domain: Manufacturing sector, with a focus on Digitalisation, Automation, Net Zero Industry, Renewable Energy, and Circular Economy.

Individual or consortium: Only individual start-ups or scale-ups are eligible. The applicant must be a private business with at least two team members.

Specific eligibility requirements: Applicants must be legally registered in an EU Member State or a country associated with Horizon Europe. They must have a B2B business model, a strong growth strategy, and a team with relevant business and technical expertise. Start-ups that have signed investment agreements with EIT Manufacturing or participated in the Venture Building Programme 2024 may benefit from a simplified evaluation process.

- Challenges identified across following thematic areas: Digitalisation and Automation, Net Zero Industry, Renewable Energy, and Circular Economy.
- Including any of the following priority technologies, products and/or solutions: Industrial AI, Robotics, Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Critical Components, Electronics, Semiconductors, Photonics, Quantum Computing, Renewables, Energy Storage, Carbon Capture.

Projects duration: Projects must be completed within a maximum of 12 months and all activities should be finalised by 31st December 2025.

Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
- Funding rate: Up to 100% of eligible costs.
- Budget conditions / limitations: Each selected company can receive between €50,000 and €500,000. The total budget for the call is €8,800,000.
- Payments: 80% pre-financing at the start and 20% upon project completion and approval of final deliverables. - Financial sustainability mechanisms include an equity agreement with EIT Manufacturing.
