CYRESRANGE- Open Call for Independent Cyber ranges
Open call providing financial support to onboard independent cyber range infrastructures and capabilities into the CYRESRANGE platform to enable interoperable cybersecurity training, testing, and large-scale cyber exercises.
Type of projects to be funded: Projects focused on onboarding independent cyber range infrastructures or specialised cyber range capabilities into the CYRESRANGE platform. Activities include technical integration through APIs or network connections, infrastructure interoperability, testing and validation of cross-range cybersecurity scenarios, participation in collaborative exercises, and provision of operational feedback on onboarding and integration processes.
Sectors / domain: Cybersecurity, cyber range infrastructures, cybersecurity training and education, and collaborative digital infrastructures supporting cyber defence exercises.
Individual or consortium: Individual applicants. The call targets operators of existing cyber ranges or organisations capable of providing cyber range infrastructures or capabilities.
Specific eligibility requirements: Applicants must be organisations established in a European Union Member State. Eligible applicants include academic institutions, government agencies, commercial cyber range providers, non-profit organisations focused on cybersecurity education or research, and private organisations operating cybersecurity training infrastructures. Applicants must demonstrate technical readiness for integration, operational capacity, and compliance with relevant cybersecurity and data protection standards.
Specific topics or challenges: Integration of cyber range infrastructures into the CYRESRANGE ecosystem; development and validation of cross-range cybersecurity scenarios; interoperability between cyber range platforms; cybersecurity training and exercises; and collaborative testing environments.
Projects duration: Up to 2 months.
Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
Funding rate: 95% of the eligible costs.
Budget conditions / limitations: Maximum grant per project between €15,000 for minimum integration and €25,000 for advanced integration.
Payments: 80% pre-financing transferred after the grant agreement signature and completion of administrative steps.
