CYberSynchrony - Open Call 1: Infrastructure Resilience and Operational Readiness

CYberSynchrony is launching its first Open Call titled "Infrastructure Resilience and Operational Readiness." This initiative is part of a broader scheme under the Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) aimed at bolstering cybersecurity resilience across critical sectors governed by the NIS2 Directive. The call invites proposals that can enhance sector-specific resilience against cyber threats and improve operational readiness.
Type of projects to be funded: The call focuses on enhancing cybersecurity infrastructure and operational readiness, targeting projects that can improve resilience and enable rapid, coordinated responses to cyber threats.
Sectors / domain: Projects should focus on the energy, transport, drinking water supply and distribution, and manufacturing sectors.
Individual or consortium: Both single entities (SMEs) and consortia (2 or 3 entities) can apply. In consortia, the coordinator must be an SME.
Specific eligibility requirements: Eligible applicants include SMEs specialising in infrastructure resilience (cybersecurity firms), public and private organisations in NIS2 sectors, and independent cybersecurity professionals with relevant experience.
Specific topics or challenges: Proposals must address priority areas such as strengthening sector-specific cybersecurity operations, enhancing threat intelligence, promoting cybersecurity awareness, and supporting cross-sector collaborations.
Projects duration: 8 months.
Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
Funding rate: 100% lump sum
Budget conditions / limitations: Up to €200,000 per project, with specific sub-caps for different activities
Payments: Disbursed upon successful delivery of predefined outputs with a prefinancing (30%), an interim payment (40%) and a final payment (30%)
KEY DATES: The open call starts on 1st January 2026 and closes on 1st March 2026 at 17:00 CET.
