BlueActionAA- Transition Agenda Call
The open call supports Transition Agendas advancing sustainable change in marine and water ecosystems across Atlantic and Arctic basins.
Type of projects to be funded: The call funds the development of Transition Agendas, including strategic roadmaps, policy recommendations and regulatory innovation proposals that support long-term, coordinated transition pathways for marine, coastal and inland water ecosystems. Funded activities focus on planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement and enabling conditions for the deployment and scaling of Mission-relevant solutions.
Sectors / domain: Marine, coastal and inland water ecosystems, with a focus on sustainability, circular economy, biodiversity protection, pollution reduction and decarbonisation within the Atlantic and Arctic basins.
Individual or consortium: Applications from single applicants or from consortia of up to six partners are eligible.
Specific eligibility requirements: Applicants must be legal entities established in an EU Member State (and their Overseas Countries and Territories( or a Horizon Europe associated country. Eligible entities include public authorities, NGOs, foundations, SMEs, large enterprises, research organisations, academia, cultural and educational organisations, and community-based organisations, provided that the proposed activities clearly contribute to the EU Mission Ocean objectives.
Specific topics or challenges: Transition Agendas must contribute to at least one of the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030” objectives, including ecosystem protection and restoration, pollution prevention and elimination, and the transition towards a carbon-neutral and circular blue economy, within the Atlantic and Arctic basin areas.
Projects duration: Between 6 and 18 months.
Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
Funding rate: Not specified in the call guidelines.
Budget conditions / limitations: Up to EUR 100,000 per project, with a maximum of EUR 75,000 per individual organisation; funding is provided as a lump sum. Overheads are considered elegible costs but limited to the 25% of the total request.
Payments: Grant payments are linked to the achievement of predefined milestones and deliverables, as defined in the sub-grantee agreement. There are established standards for 6, 12 and 18 months projects.
