FFPlus Open Call Analysis

Second Call for Business Experiments Addressing the Uptake of HPC by SMEs: Driving SMEs and Startup innovation by unleashing the potential of HPC and Generative AI

About FFPlus Open Call

Fortissimo Plus (FFplus), funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, helps European SMEs and start-ups adopt High-Performance Computing (HPC) to tackle business challenges and develop solutions, including generative AI. HPC applications range from modelling and simulation to data analytics, machine learning, and AI, boosting innovation and competitiveness.

FFplus has opened its second call for business experiments, offering €4 million in total funding, up to €200,000 per project (max €150,000 per organisation) covering all eligible direct costs. Projects start on 1 January 2026, run for up to 15 months, and must clearly define their business challenge and HPC’s role in solving it. The deadline for proposals is 26 August 2025.

Who Can Apply?

  • SMEs or startups new to HPC
  • Based in EU Member States, EEA countries, or eligible associated countries
  • Up to five partners per consortium (main and supporting)
  • Cannot participate in both FFplus Type-1 and Type-2 calls.
