Call for collaborative projects for tourism SMEs

Phoenix 4.0 is an EU-funded initiative designed to support collaborative projects aimed at enhancing resilience, sustainability, and digital innovation in the tourism industry. With a budget exceeding €1,065,000, the call focuses on six European regions including Dubrovnik, France, Iceland, Kosovo, Slovenia, and Spain, with the goal of fostering a more sustainable and innovative tourism ecosystem.

TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: The projects must be collaborative, involving tourism SMEs, and should focus on resilience, sustainability, and digital innovation. The projects are expected to introduce innovative practices and solutions.

SECTORS / DOMAIN: Tourism.

INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: Projects must be submitted by a consortium of at least two independent organisations, with a tourism SME acting as the lead applicant.

SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Eligible applicants must be registered in the PHOENIX 4.0 partner countries and participate in a consortium. Projects must include tourism SMEs as lead applicants and may include cross-sector collaborations.

SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: The call addresses challenges such as enhancing resilience, bridging theory and practice in sustainable tourism, improving energy efficiency, and innovative digital solutions.

PROJECTS DURATION: The projects are expected to run until March 2027. The maximum duration is 9 months.

BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: 100% lump sum
Budget conditions / limitations: Each project can receive a lump sum of €25,000, with €15,000 allocated for projects in Kosovo.
Payments: 40% of the funds are paid upfront upon contract signature, with the remaining 60% paid after project completion and approval of the final report.
