The BlueActionBANOS 1st Open Call for Transition Agendas is an opportunity for funding the development of strategic roadmaps aimed at fostering sustainable systemic shifts aligned with the Mission Ocean and Waters objectives. This initiative focuses on the Baltic and North Sea regions, supporting projects that encourage decarbonisation, circular economy, sustainable tourism, and more.
TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: The call funds the creation of strategic, actionable multi-year plans that address objectives such as marine ecosystem protection, pollution prevention, and the development of a sustainable blue economy.
SECTORS / DOMAIN: The open call targets sectors involved in the blue economy, including coastal decarbonisation, marine restoration, and sustainable tourism.
INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: Applications can be submitted by individual entities or consortia of up to three entities. Each consortium must appoint a coordinator.
SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Eligible applicants include entities registered in BANOS countries, such as Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and Sweden.
SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: Projects should focus on topics like decarbonisation of coastal zones, zero-waste seafood processing, and digital innovation in ocean monitoring.
PROJECTS DURATION: The expected duration for funded projects is up to 18 months.
BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: 100%
Budget conditions / limitations: The maximum grant is EUR 100,000 per Transition Agenda, with a maximum of EUR 60,000 per participating entity.
Payments: Grants are paid in tranches as a lump sum upon completion of deliverables.
