SMART ERA 1st Open Call for Pilots Add-ons: the SMART ERA project is launching its 1st Open Call for Pilots Add-ons, aiming to select up to 11 Technology/Solution Providers. These providers will develop innovative solutions to address the specific challenges and needs identified in six pilot regions. This initiative is part of SMART ERA's broader goal to transform rural areas through advanced technology and innovative solutions.
TYPE OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED: The projects should focus on developing innovative solutions to solve detected gaps and bring value to the SMART ERA Pilot Regions.
SECTORS / DOMAIN: Targeted sectors include tourism, agriculture, mobility, healthcare, commerce, and environmental & cultural protection.
INDIVIDUAL OR CONSORTIUM: This call is open to individual legal entities acting as Solution/Technology Providers.
SPECIFIC ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Eligible applicants must be legally registered in EU Member States, Overseas Countries and Territories, or Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
SPECIFIC TOPICS OR CHALLENGES: Projects must address specific challenges defined for each pilot region, such as AI tools for tourism, smart economy platforms, and agro-tourism solutions.
PROJECTS DURATION: Projects will last up to 9 months.
BUDGET, FUNDING RATES AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS:
Funding rate: Up to 100%
Budget conditions / limitations: Each project can receive up to €60,000
Payments: Payments are divided into stages, with an initial payment of €10,000 after the On-boarding Phase and up to €50,000 upon completion of the Deployment Phase
KEY DATES:
- Submission starts: 28th August 2025
- Submission deadline: 4th November 2025
