SOILSCAPE- Soil Orchestra FSTP
Aims to develop an engaging and educational video game to enhance soil literacy among children, integrating immersive gameplay and educational content, with a pilot at the Italian SOILSCAPE Festival.
The SOILSCAPE- Soil Orchestra FSTP Open Call seeks to fund innovative projects that integrate arts and creative approaches to enhance soil literacy and engage the public in soil preservation efforts. This initiative aims to build partnerships between artists, scientists, and communities across Europe to promote soil awareness through cultural and artistic expressions.
Type of projects to be funded: The call will fund projects that creatively engage with soil themes. This includes workshops, performances, video games, and other arts-based activities designed to raise soil awareness and inspire action.
Sectors / domain: Projects are focused on the intersection of art, culture, education, and environmental science.
Individual or consortium: Both individual applicants and small consortia (up to three members) can apply. Consortia can include artists, cultural organizations, and educational institutions.
Specific eligibility requirements: Applicants must be from Horizon Europe eligible countries, and both German and English proficiency are required for engagements at the festival.
Specific topics or challenges: The call focuses on projects that creatively address soil literacy, using innovative and participatory approaches to engage diverse audiences. Applicants should align with the categories
applicable for each Soil Orchestra. Three subprojects will be funded in each of the eight Soil Orchestras. All specific details and application requirements are available in Appendices 5-12 (see the guidelines for the details)
Projects duration: The selected projects will have a duration of 18 months.
Budget, funding rates and payment conditions:
Funding rate: 100%
Budget conditions / limitations: Each project can receive up to 40,000€.
Payments: Payments are structured in three phases: 30% upon design, 50% during development, and 20% upon validation.
Key dates: The open call will accept applications from June 2, 2025, until September 30, 2025.
